“But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, which is the head, even Christ:”
Ephesians 4:15

What makes us different as Christians? The new life that we have received— which is the word:
“And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son.” 1 John 5:11, see also 1 John 1:1-2,5:20
And the way we live our lives- our mindset, our words and our actions— which is the word:
Mindset: Romans 12:2, Philippians 2:5-7
Words: Ephesians 4:29, Luke 4:22
Actions: 1 John 2:6
Truly, the word of God is our sanctification, an answer to the prayer of Jesus:
“They are not of the world, even as I am not of the world. Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth.” John 17:16-17
This is why knowing the word for yourself so you can live accordingly cannot be overemphasized. Any Christian who isn’t living the word isn’t living, because the word is our life.
Do not let the world give you a destiny linked to its destiny which is destruction: 2 Peter 3:10-11, Ephesians 5:6
Separate yourself and choose the word always.
