“If ye know these things, happy are ye if ye do them.” John 13:17
The Bible says:
“But godliness with contentment is great gain.” 1 Timothy 6:6
‘Contentment’ is from the Greek ‘autarkeia’ which means ‘a perfect condition of life in which no aid or support is needed’; that is the kind of life you received and are expected to live when you got born again and that life isn’t found in things, but in who is with you:
“Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.” Hebrews 13:5
How many loaves of bread could the disciples have transported successfully till they got to Matthew 14:15-21? When it was required, they got the provision they needed not because of the contracts they had secured with external bakeries but because of the one who was with them; that same Spirit that dwelled in Jesus is in you today- that’s something to shout and be excited about!
