“Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver.” ‭‭2 Corinthians‬ ‭9‬:‭7‬
Notice, he tells how to give- give what you purpose in your heart as against what you’ve calculated based on observation: that’s his own counsel in the matter: Proverbs 19:21
Do not give grudgingly- don’t allow yourself to be compelled or pushed to give: Malachi 1:6-8,14
Do not give out of necessity- you don’t have to always wait till you judge the matter most important to your existence before you give: Haggai 1:2-4
And he tells you how you give, the demeanor that God loves to see on you as you give- give cheerfully; be happy and overjoyed for the opportunity to give to God who didn’t spare his only son for you and gave you everything- Romans 8:32.
