“And I knew that thou hearest me always…”
John 11:42
Jesus’ confidence that God heard him led him boldly to Lazarus tomb, expecting to wrought a miracle, that’s the confidence he expects you to have- knowing he hears you, expect a miracle!
“And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us: and if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him.” 1 John 5:14-15
Asking according to his will, is asking in his name and John had earlier mentioned:
“And in that day ye shall ask me nothing. Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall ask the Father in my name, he will give it you. Hitherto have ye asked nothing in my name: ask, and ye shall receive, that your joy may be full.” John 16:23-24
Because whatever you ask the father in his name, Jesus assures you that you will have.
Ask as though God- with whom nothing is impossible- has stopped all events just to listen to your request, when you express such faith, the Bible says you’d be rewarded- Hebrews 11:6b
