“…Father, I thank thee that thou hast heard me. And I knew that thou hearest me always…”
John 11:41-42

Read this:
“And if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him.” 1 John 5:15
Our receiving the petition we desire of him is based on our knowing he hears us, and the Bible tells us in verse 14, he hears us when we ask according to his will, what is his will?
“Hitherto have ye asked nothing in my name: ask, and ye shall receive, that your joy may be full.” John 16:24
His will is that we ask in his name.
No wonder he urged us who have received eternal life to believe in the name of Jesus:
“These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God.” 1 John 5:13
Believe that his name works, and so instead of responding in despair, let God hear you use the name of Jesus.
