“If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God.”  
Colossians 3:1

God thinks about you! ‘Even if’ you might not think about him often, he does about you!
You are born of his word, so you permanently reside in him; at any given time, you are fixed on his mind and in his heart.
“For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.”  Jeremiah 29:11
This means he has an expectation for your life, there is a way he has planned that it should ‘end.’
He says “thoughts of peace”, meaning he wants you to experience peace in your life, that which would cause you to be troubled- financial, mental, emotional or physical challenges, he wants to be far from you.
“Now the Lord of peace himself give you peace always by all means. The Lord be with you all.”  2Thessalonians 3:16
He is the Lord of peace; the master of peace! This means he tells peace where to go and reside, he gives the instruction and ‘peace’ obeys! This lord of peace himself- he won’t send an angel- would give you peace by all means- by any means necessary! Wow! This knowledge should put you at rest.
By any means necessary, peace would be yours! Peace in your heart, peace in your pocket, peace in your family- by any means necessary!
That’s why he tells you to focus on things above, because on the earth, it might seem impossible for you to be assured of peace irrespective of what’s happening: “But Jesus beheld them, and said unto them, With men this is impossible; but with God all things are possible.”  Matthew 19:26
