“Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is.” 1 John 3 vs 2 KJV
See who you should learn from and follow absolutely; the one whose appearance would reveal to you your true self:
“…but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is.”
Look at this amazing verse:
“When Christ, who is our life, shall appear, then shall ye also appear with him in glory.” Colossians 3:4
He emphasizes this reality; that we are exactly like Jesus and our walking in this reality is based on how much of him we have heard, seen and have looked upon- how much fellowship we have with him:
“that which we have seen and heard declare we unto you, that ye also may have fellowship with us: and truly our fellowship is with the Father, and with his Son Jesus Christ.” 1 John 1:3
The more we see, the more we walk in the reality of what we have seen as long as we always remember what we have seen- no matter how remarkable it might seem- and walk in the light of what we have seen:
“But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves. For if any be a hearer of the word, and not a doer, he is like unto a man beholding his natural face in a glass:” James 1:22-23
