“If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you.”
John 15:7
He says if you abide in him, and his words abide in you- then you would live in the realm of your desires endlessly.
He had said earlier:
“Abide in me, and I in you.…” John 15:4
So he likens himself to his words, he is as real to you as his words are.
The Bible tells us:
“Therefore if any man be IN Christ, he is a new creature…” 2 Corinthians 5:17
So every Christian- in Christ- is already in him, now he says abide in him; remain in his word, let his word be good enough for you, akin to the prayers of Epaphras:
“…that ye may stand perfect and complete (playroo- satisfied) in all the will of God.” Colossians 4:12
He wants you to be satisfied in all of God’s will, he wants you to find satisfaction in his word alone- when you do, you cannot but ask what’s in his word for yourself because you know he only desires the best for you.
