“If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you.”
John 15:7
When his words abide in you, his will becomes your will- your life becomes pleasant when you have no desires that are antithetical to God’s word, you would begin to live the life Jesus brought and lived:
“For I came down from heaven, not to do mine own will, but the will of him that sent me.” John 6:38
He said he might have had his own will but compared to the will of the one who sent him, they were entirely irrelevant! This is Jesus, son of the living God, the one you were called to fellowship with- hear and see what he said and live your life accordingly. (1 Corinthians 1:9)
He told Martha:
“But one thing is needful and MARY HATH CHOSEN THAT GOOD PART…” Luke 10:42
It’s easy to feel fulfilled by being busy about everything but to Jesus and the Father, actually, only one thing is needful; paying attention to the word (that made everything you might be busy about):
“And she had a sister called Mary, which also sat at Jesus’ feet, AND HEARD HIS WORD.” (Luke 10:39)
