“And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us.”  Romans 5:5

The word of God says:
“…Christ in you, the hope of glory!” Colossians 1:27
He had said:
“For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;”  Romans 3:23
So every man could not meet the standard required to have and experience the glory of God because of sin. The Bible says:
“…sin brought death into the world. Now everyone has sinned, and so everyone must die.”  Romans 5:12, CEV
So death began to function on the earth as king, taking away people and their loved ones, until one day, he showed up in the family of Martha and Mary, affecting their loved one- Lazarus. The good news? Jesus Christ was a family friend, and even when Lazarus was dead:
“Jesus saith unto her, Thy brother shall rise again.”  John 11:23
“Jesus saith unto her, Said I not unto thee, that, if thou wouldest believe, thou shouldest see the glory of God?”  John 11:40
That glory that man had fallen short of because of sin, would be revealed to dispel the consequence of that sin- death! And it was revealed: Lazarus came back to life.
Guess what, that Christ that showed up and dispelled the effect of sin- death- with the glory of God now lives in us. This verse would begin to make a lot of sense to you now:
“…Christ in you, the hope of glory!” Colossians 1:27
Meditate. Anyone who has you as a family friend is made for life and should never lose hope.
