“Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time:”
1 Peter 5:6

Happy New Year! Now, hear Jesus:
“Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.” Matthew 11:29
He asked us to learn of him, meaning we can, he had said earlier:
“…no man knoweth the Son, but the Father; neither knoweth any man the Father, save the Son, and he to whomsoever the Son will reveal him.” Matthew 11:27
This meant, he could choose to reveal the father absolutely to whomsoever he will, and then he goes ahead and tells us about himself (he who is one with the father) and how we should learn of him, and he makes clear who he is: meek and lowly in heart!
You walk in humility because that is how God expects you to walk, where you find rest and where there is a definite promise of exaltation.
“…and ye shall find rest unto your souls.”
