“But ye, beloved, building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost,”
Jude 1:20
The Bible says:
“And now, brethren, I commend you to God, and to the word of his grace, which is able to build you up, and to give you an inheritance among all them which are sanctified.” Acts 20:32
This is a content for growth, God causes growth and he gives the resources that enables growth, for example the Bible says:
“Now he that ministereth seed to the sower…” 2 Corinthians 9:10
So the sower gets the resource of seed, but he has to plant it, water it and then God causes growth:
“So then neither is he that planteth any thing, neither he that watereth; but God that giveth the increase.” 1 Corinthians 3:7
The word of his grace is able to build you up; in improving your life, he shows you what to emphasize; the word of his grace not of his judgment but of his grace; grace is active when divine immeasurable results are delivered without the efforts or wisdom of man at work. So the grace of the Lord Jesus is at work when a sinner without any effort of his own, believes in what God did through Jesus and becomes born again. The word of his grace concerning your improvement is clearly seen in scriptures such as:
“Not that we are sufficient of ourselves to think any thing as of ourselves; but our sufficiency is of God;” 2 Corinthians 3:5
When you emphasize such scriptures while you speak in tongues and walk in love, he says you would be built up. God desires growth: Hebrews 6:7, Luke 13:6-9
Work with him.
