“Can two walk together, except they be agreed?”
Amos 3:3
We walk with God and we walk as Jesus walked:
“He that saith he abideth in him ought himself also so to walk, even as he walked.” 1 John 2:6
Jesus was fully submissive to the Father, the father’s desires and words were the source of his expressions:
“…I live by the Father…” John 6:57
So the Bible says he is the brightness of God’s glory and the express image (the character) of God:
“Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person…” Hebrews 1:3
Knowing that we are to walk as he walked, and his prayer in John 17:24 that we behold his glory (and as such be transformed into what we see) was answered by the father by sending us the holy Spirit and giving us his word:
“But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord.” 2 Corinthians 3:18
In our expressing his glory, we ought to be fully submissive to the word of God and the Spirit of God. We agree with his word and express his word.
