“Can two walk together, except they be agreed?”
Amos 3:3

He directs and describes the journey; and the experiences we would have in that journey are described only by him. The Bible says:
“But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another…” 1 John 1:7
We walk in the light he lives in; in simpler terms, we see the way he sees, and describes objects, circumstances and events solely with his description- if he says stretch out an arm that has been paralysed and inactive for years, we don’t resist because of our knowledge of the arm, we walk in his light and do what he says, walking in righteousness:
“And, behold, there was a man which had his hand withered… Then saith he to the man, Stretch forth thine hand. And he stretched it forth; and it was restored whole, like as the other.” Matthew 12:10,13
The word of God is God, the word of God is light, God lives in his word and that is comforting, because we have unlimited access to his word and as such, can know via his word when we are responding to a situation the way he would and calling things just as he has:
“Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.” Psalm 119:105
