“And Jesus increased in wisdom and stature, and in favour with God and man.”
Luke 2:52
Jesus vocalized his mindset when it came to his walk with God- he expected to see and do even better. He told Nathaniel:
“Jesus answered and said unto him, Because I said unto thee, I saw thee under the fig tree, believest thou? thou shalt see greater things than these.” John 1:50
He told the Jews:
“For the Father loveth the Son, and sheweth him all things that himself doeth: and he will shew him greater works than these, that ye may marvel.” John 5:20
He knew that was the expected experience of anyone who walked with God, they ought to anticipate an increase in glory, and the Bible tells us that he increased in favour with God and with man, and we see that favour with man at work in Mark 11:1-6.
Such favour is so astounding it beats the human imagination, but that was his experience and he taught his disciples to expect likewise: Matthew 10:10-11.
