“And Jesus increased in wisdom and stature, and in favour with God and man.”
Luke 2:52
Isn’t it amazing how he tells us that just as Jesus increased in age/ stature, he increased in wisdom, he increased in favour with God and man? Meaning the older you get the wiser you ought to be, and that means the more of God’s word you should have known, submitted to and do.
The older you get, the more favour you should experience from God and from men and the more gracious you ought to be also towards others.
If you expressed favour in a certain capacity at a particular age, you should have increased the capacity of the favour you express as you get older, hear Jesus:
“…For unto whomsoever much is given, of him shall be much required…” Luke 12:48
A man who enjoys the favour of God has one expected response, to be just as gracious to others even as he anticipates an increase in God’s favour in his life.
Celebrate your increase in age, celebrate your increase in wisdom and never lose sight of the increase in favour you experience and ought to express.
