“Now when he had left speaking, he said unto Simon, Launch out into the deep, and let down your nets for a draught.”
Luke 5:4
Isn’t it amazing that anytime people enquired of God, he had an opinion on what should be done? If they didn’t acknowledge him, they would never had known.
“In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.” Proverbs 3:6
At every given juncture he has a direction for your life, he is the one who put you here after all:
“I am a stranger in the earth: hide not thy commandments from me.” Psalms 119:19
So acknowledge him, the instructions might not be exactly the same so don’t get too full of yourself, in Luke 5:4, Jesus told Peter to go back into the deep for a catch- they weren’t going to get anything near the seashore, the next time, he told them to cast their net at the RIGHT side of the ship (John 21:6). In both cases, they were directed but the instruction was different.
The same had happened with David, first time:
“…And the LORD said unto David, Go up: for I will doubtless deliver the Philistines into thine hand.” 2 Samuel 5:19
Second time: “…the LORD, he said, Thou shalt not go up; but fetch a compass behind them, and come upon them over against the mulberry trees.” 2 Samuel 5:22-23
Walk with him, he doesn’t plan to get tired of you, your acknowledgments or your many enquiries else why did he choose to be permanently domiciled in you?
