“Now when he had left speaking, he said unto Simon, Launch out into the deep, and let down your nets for a draught.”
Luke 5:4
Choose to be guided in everything you do, when Adam ate of the fruit that God had asked him not to, God’s response to his confession was quite instructive:
“…Who told thee that thou wast naked?..” Genesis 3:11
This means, he expected Adam to know he was to be told not only what to do but how to respond- man was meant to be led.
Even when the right option seems obvious, only the word confers righteousness, so wait for the word. Learn from David:
“And David enquired at the LORD, saying, Shall I pursue after this troop? shall I overtake them? And he answered him, Pursue: for thou shalt surely overtake them, and without fail recover all.” 1 Samuel 30:8
Moses would tell you how doing what seemed the most obvious and actually getting the expected results caused him his life’s desire of entering the promise land: Numbers 20:10-12.
No situation is too small or too big for God to get involved.
“Aren’t five sparrows sold for two pennies? Yet not one of them is forgotten before God. In fact, even the hairs on your head are all numbered. Do not be afraid; you are more valuable than many sparrows.” Luke 12:6-7, NET
