“Now when he had left speaking, he said unto Simon, Launch out into the deep, and let down your nets for a draught.”
Luke 5:4

Peter and his colleagues had toiled all night for a catch and caught absolutely nothing, so imagine how ridiculous it’ll have seemed when Jesus told them to try again! Ordinarily they should have refused, but Jesus wasn’t just anyone, neither was he just talking anyhow, he had said:
“For I have not spoken of myself; but the Father which sent me, he gave me a commandment, what I should say, and what I should speak.” John 12:49
So what he told them was God’s commandment in that moment. The difference between their working all night and going again in the morning was the presence of the word, and because they submitted to the word, the Bible tells us:
“And when they had this done, they inclosed a great multitude of fishes: and their net brake… And they came, and filled both the ships, so that they began to sink.” Luke 5:6-7
God’s word directs- he could direct you along the least obvious path OR THE MOST OBVIOUS, irrespective of the path, wait for the word- then you would be productive.
