“Who, when he came, and had seen the grace of God, was glad, and exhorted them all, that with purpose of heart they would cleave unto the Lord.”
Acts 11:23

The Bible says Barnabas saw the grace of God at Antioch and further admonished them to cleave to the Lord with purpose of heart.
In other words, the grace of God being manifest didn’t mean they should slack, instead they should be deliberate, determined and set up structures with one purpose- to ensure they cleave to the Lord.
How instructive! Your fellowship with God through his word must be intentional; be purposeful about it.
“Therefore, get your minds ready for action by being fully sober, and set your hope completely on the grace that will be brought to you when Jesus Christ is revealed.”1 Peter 1:13
He says get your minds ready for action and hope completely on God’s grace brought to you when Jesus is revealed to you through his word: 2 Peter 1:2.
Be deliberate about your time with the word.
