“For which cause we faint not; but though our outward man perish, yet the inward man is renewed day by day.”
2 Corinthians 4:16

Every Christian has eternal life; a different kind of life, God’s own kind of life- Jesus’ life:
“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”  John 3:16
Every Christian is a new creation; that old man is gone and a new man has come with a new life;
“Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.”  2 Corinthians 5:17
A man that is actually born of God and looks like God exactly in every single way:
“Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is.”  1 John 3:2
Now that we have Jesus’ life, we ought to manifest that life to the world and that begins by allowing that life manifest in our flesh, where we submit the dictates and reasonings of our flesh to the life of God in us:
“…that the life also of Jesus might be made manifest in our body… that the life also of Jesus might be made manifest in our mortal flesh.” 2 Corinthians 4:10-11
Our focus should always be living out the realities of that life and submitting physical realities to that life! We observe our physical bodies by looking at a physical mirror, we also observe our spirits by looking at the spirit’s mirror- the word, when any event seem to affect us in a way that is contrary to what the mirror suggests, we ignore or kill that response.
