“For when for the time ye ought to be teachers, ye have need that one teach you again which be the first principles of the oracles of God; and are become such as have need of milk, and not of strong meat.” Hebrews‬ ‭5‬:‭12

God expects you to do the word and teach the word; there is a time frame for every phase of your life; and in the main verse, it is obvious that it was past time for them to be teachers; a teacher is someone who doesn’t offend in word:
“My brethren, be not many masters, knowing that we shall receive the greater condemnation. For in many things we offend all. If any man offend not in word, the same is a perfect man, and able also to bridle the whole body.” James‬ ‭3‬:‭1‬-‭2‬
The word “masters” is “didaskolos” which is teacher; a teacher is someone who doesn’t offend in logos and as a result adds to his knowledge of the word- self control:
“And beside this, giving all diligence, add to your…knowledge temperance…” 2 Peter‬ ‭1‬:‭5‬-‭6‬
He can use the word (he doesn’t offend in) to control his body- his choices in life and as such easily walk in righteousness, doing the word. God’s expectation is that a time would come in your life that you would know his word and walk accordingly; making your decisions solely based on his word and teaching others likewise.
