“For when for the time ye ought to be teachers, ye have need that one teach you again which be the first principles of the oracles of God; and are become such as have need of milk, and not of strong meat.” Hebrews 5:12
A teacher is someone who doesn’t offend in word; he knows God’s word and keeps to it; he uses the word to exercise his senses to discern what is right and what is wrong:
“But strong meat belongeth to them that are of full age, even those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil.” Hebrews 5:14
He doesn’t make judgments based on what he sees, hears, smells, tastes or feels. His judgments are based solely on the word of God:
“Judge not according to the appearance, but judge righteous judgment.” John 7:24
In all of this, it should be clear that knowing God’s word, doing the word and teaching the word is God’s expectation for you. Always desire the word: 1 Peter 2:2.
