“Then said they unto him, Where is thy Father? Jesus answered, Ye neither know me, nor my Father: if ye had known me, ye should have known my Father also.”
John 8:19

When you hear Jesus say this:
“For I have not spoken of myself; but the Father which sent me, he gave me a commandment, what I should say, and what I should speak.” John 12:49
Then you realize that at no given point was his expressions on the earth of himself or off God’s desires, he emphasizes this:
“I have many things to say and to judge of you: but he that sent me is true; and I speak to the world those things which I have heard of him.” John 8:26
This means we can in all absolute terms conclude that whatever Jesus did or said, was exactly what God would have done and said, no wonder God said this:
“…This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased; hear ye him.” Matthew 17:5
And Jesus repeated the same:
“…I do nothing of myself; but as my Father hath taught me, I speak these things. And he that sent me is with me: the Father hath not left me alone; for I do always those things that please him.” (John 8:28-29)
So we can rest easy, knowing that we can know the mind of God concerning any situation by learning of Jesus.
