“That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.”
Romans 10:9

To be saved he says, confess with your mouth- not your sins or transgressions because how many can you remember? Instead, he says confess with your mouth, declare for all to hear, that Jesus is Lord!
The word confession means ‘speaking in agreement’, that means vocalising your support of what someone has initially said, God made and declared Jesus Lord over all, and to be saved, he expects you agree with God in that declaration and submit yourself under the Lordship of Jesus.
“Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name: That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.” Philippians 2:9-11
With your mouth, you are declaring that you have a new master, a new Lord and satan has no authority over you!
“Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son:” Colossians 1:13
So ponder on this: now that you are born again, you have a new master, there is someone you are bound to be submitted to. Are you conscious of this or have you been living your life as though you are your own Lord?
