“Remember them which have the rule over you, who have spoken unto you the word of God: whose faith follow, considering the end of their conversation. Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever.” Hebrews 13:7-8
We see in the word of God, different seeming challenges Jesus faced while he walked on the earth and how he dealt with those challenges- so much so, they don’t even seem like challenges when we read about them today.
Jesus had expectations:
“…he was hungry: And seeing a fig tree afar off having leaves, he came, if haply he might find any thing thereon…” Mark 11:12-13
His expectation seemed to be unmet even though, everything looked the opposite.
“…and when he came to it, he found nothing but leaves…” Mark 11:13
He then spoke a word to affect that situation:
“And Jesus answered and said unto it, No man eat fruit of thee hereafter for ever. And his disciples heard it.” Mark 11:14
And nothing happened (visibly):
“…”
At night, every thing still remained the same and unchanged, a perfect recipe for him to speak in defeat or begin to explain why it didn’t work.
“And when even was come, he went out of the city.” Mark 11:19
The next day, it was obvious that as soon as he spoke something began to happen:
“And in the morning, as they passed by, they saw the fig tree dried up from the roots.” Mark 11:20
Through you, it will be obvious that Jesus has not changed. Know this, as soon as you speak, something has begun to happen.
Don’t give up, don’t give in, don’t change your speech to represent what you see with your eyes, don’t try to explain why it seems not be working. Know! When you spoke, something happened.
