“And now abideth faith, hope, charity, these three…”
1Corinthians 13:13
He says faith, hope and love, will always remain; whenever they are involved, that project would stand the test of time.
There can be no faith without hope.
“Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.” Hebrews 11:1
If you hope your uncle would send you cash and then you get a credit alert of One Million Naira, that credit alert can be likened to faith, it is the substance; the evidence that you have what you hoped for even though you cannot physically see the money in the bank.
“Love… hopes all things…” 1Corinthians 13:7
But the inspiration of hope, must be love; you should not hope that your fiercest challengers should have their ears chopped off by a disease, instead, be like Jesus:
“And Jesus answered and said, Suffer ye thus far. And he touched his ear, and healed him.” Luke 22:51
The word of God gives us a glorious means to ensure that our expectations are never cut short.
It’s not enough to hope for the next meal:
“Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat…” Matthew 6:25
You are bigger than that!
“…Is not the life more than meat…” Matthew 6:25
Jesus already assures you of the next meal. You can hope to be all that word of God is; Christ in you, the hope of glory! When you show up, even in darkness and gloom, there can be hope for a glorious finish!
