“That ye might walk worthy of the Lord unto all pleasing, being fruitful in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God;”
Colossians 1:10
God wants you to increase in your knowledge of him, that knowledge of him that makes you one with and an expression of him, in line with Jesus’ prayer to him:
“And the glory which thou gavest me I have given them; that they may be one, even as we are one: I in them, and thou in me, that they may be made perfect in one…” John 17:22-23
And Jesus’ reality while he was on the earth:
“I and my Father are one.” John 10:30
“If ye had known me, ye should have known my Father also…” John 14:7
This is God’s desire.
If he wants you to know him, it means he’s more than ready and willing to reveal himself to you once you are ready to learn of him:
“These things have I spoken unto you in proverbs: but the time cometh, when I shall… shew you plainly of the Father.” John 16:25
It is no longer a question of how much he is willing to show you, but how much you are willing to know.
