“That ye might walk worthy of the Lord unto all pleasing, being fruitful in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God;”
Colossians 1:10
You realize how real Matthew 11:27 is when you see it repeated in the book of Luke:
“…no man knoweth who the Son is, but the Father; and who the Father is, but the Son, and he to whom the Son will reveal him.” Luke 10:22
So Jesus can show others the revelation of God that he has, and it is clear those that he would grant such revelation:
“The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave unto him, to shew unto his servants things…” (Revelation 1:1)
His servants- those of us in Christ, who are one with him, and so you see the prayer of the Spirit for the church in the main verse and also here:
“That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him:” (Ephesians 1:17)
And his instruction to us:
“But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ…” 2 Peter 3:18
Because he is more than willing to reveal himself to us.
