“Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.”
John 8:12

Jesus makes clear that there is the light of life- the knowledge required to navigate life; to live life to the full and he says that knowledge can only be acquired via followership- following him!
The Bible tells us:
“Be imitators of God in everything you do, for then you will represent your Father as his beloved sons and daughters.” Ephesians 5:1, TPT
Meaning whatever we see God do in the word, we ought to do likewise because we are his children- exactly the way Jesus said he lived his life:
“Then answered Jesus and said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, The Son can do nothing of himself, but what he seeth the Father do: for what things soever he doeth, these also doeth the Son likewise.” John 5:19
It is only by doing that, that we would ensure that we are making the right decisions and having the right responses in life- when we find out how Jesus acted or responded and do likewise!
