“But the Lord said unto him, Go thy way: for he is a chosen vessel unto me, to bear my name before the Gentiles, and kings, and the children of Israel:”
Acts 9:15

What’s remarkable in that event is how Ananias wasn’t terrified of Jesus but instead felt he was so approachable that he protested his instruction at first:
“Then Ananias answered, Lord, I have heard by many of this man, how much evil he hath done to thy saints at Jerusalem: And here he hath authority from the chief priests to bind all that call on thy name.” Acts 9:13-14
And true to who he described himself to be:
“…I am meek and lowly in heart…” Matthew 11:29
He responded kindly, and still insisted that Ananias go to Paul while allaying any concern he had. The next chapter we would see someone else protest:
“But Peter said, Not so, Lord; for I have never eaten any thing that is common or unclean.” Acts 10:14
His instruction: Acts 10:13
And yet, he calmly explains why his instructions should be kept thrice! Acts 10:15
This is the one you serve, the one you love and the one who gave himself for you! This is the one you’ve been called to fellowship with: 1 Corinthians 1:9
He’s not quick to condemn, instead he saves, props up, guides and leads in righteousness. (See Luke 9:56, John 12:47, Psalm 23:3).
