“But the Lord said unto him, Go thy way: for he is a chosen vessel unto me, to bear my name before the Gentiles, and kings, and the children of Israel:”
Acts 9:15
Jesus told us to pray and not stop: Luke 18:1
He didn’t want us to get tired for a reason- as long as people are involved in the answer he would wrought, they have the option to refuse to do his will, to delay in doing his will, to pretend that they would do his will but do otherwise, Jesus expatiates clearly here: Matthew 21:28-30.
And we see this even more in his interaction with Ananias: Paul, as he prayed, already saw Ananias (even heard his name) coming to minister to him, meaning God already showed him that the blindness was not his destiny, and true to that vision and keeping to his promise, Jesus himself appeared to Ananias, explained the situation and even told him Paul already saw him coming:
“And the Lord said unto him, Arise, and go into the street which is called Straight, and enquire in the house of Judas for one called Saul, of Tarsus: for, BEHOLD, HE PRAYETH, And hath seen in a vision a man named Ananias coming in, and putting his hand on him, that he might receive his sight.” Acts 9:11-12
Yet! Ananias still protested, wasted time and Jesus still had to persuade him. In all of these interactions, how sad it would have been if Paul had given up praying and thought God wasn’t doing anything! Never give up— he loves you too much to stand idly by, he chose by himself to be identified as your helper! Hebrews 13:5-6.
