“But the Lord said unto him, Go thy way: for he is a chosen vessel unto me, to bear my name before the Gentiles, and kings, and the children of Israel:”
Acts 9:15

Just as we should be encouraged to not stop praying, and should be rest assured that God heard and answered us: 1 John 5:15
We also should be quick to respond to God and his instructions to us:
“I made haste, and delayed not to keep thy commandments.” Psalms 119:60
Don’t delay, just like you wouldn’t want a delay in anything concerning God’s good purpose for you!
If he tells you to rise and go, be as prompt as Philip- he might lead you to the middle of the desert, go, asking no questions:
“And the angel of the Lord spake unto Philip, saying, Arise, and go toward the south unto the way that goeth down from Jerusalem unto Gaza, which is desert. And he arose and went… Then the Spirit said unto Philip, Go near, and join thyself to this chariot. And Philip ran thither to him…” Acts 8:26-30
Remember, he is not a time waster, if he gives you an instruction is it important to him and you should behave accordingly, and we see how because of Philip’s promptness, the gospel was received by the Eunuch- and carried to Africa!
“…And he answered and said, I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God. And he commanded the chariot to stand still: and they went down both into the water, both Philip and the eunuch; and he baptized him.” Acts 8:37-38
