“But the Lord said unto him, Go thy way: for he is a chosen vessel unto me, to bear my name before the Gentiles, and kings, and the children of Israel:”
Acts 9:15

Jesus appeared to Paul and instead of spending hours ensuring he felt extreme guilt for all the evil he had done, he moves on to his future and gives him a responsibility- which in itself is a sign of trust! Hear the interaction in Paul’s own words:
“And I said, Who art thou, Lord? And he said, I am Jesus whom thou persecutest. But rise, and stand upon thy feet: for I have appeared unto thee for this purpose, to make thee a minister and a witness both of these things which thou hast seen, and of those things in the which I will appear unto thee;” Acts 26:15-16
“But rise!” He tells him “I’m the one you don’t like BUT it doesn’t matter, I have a job for you” he truly is love, the Bible tells us:
“…Love isn’t selfish or quick tempered. IT DOESN’T KEEP A RECORD OF WRONGS THAT OTHERS DO.” 1 Corinthians 13:5, CEV
It’s time to discard those record of wrongs you have kept against yourself and others— so you made a mistake, so it was costly, do you plan to sulk for the rest of your life?!
Rise- there’s mercy and grace in Christ Jesus, and not just that, there’s a purpose for your life!
“Who hath saved us, and called us with an holy calling, NOT ACCORDING TO OUR WORKS, but according to his own purpose and grace, which was given us in Christ Jesus before the world began,” 2 Timothy 1:9
