“For so hath the Lord commanded us, saying, I have set thee to be a light of the Gentiles, that thou shouldest be for salvation unto the ends of the earth.”
Acts 13:47
Look at Jesus, reaching the lost in the most unlikely places- setting an example for us, making us conscious that every soul matters to God irrespective of where we find them:
At the tax office: “As Jesus was leaving, he saw a tax collector named Matthew sitting at the place for paying taxes. Jesus said to him, “Come with me.” Matthew got up and went with him.” Matthew 9:9, CEV
On the tree: Luke 19:4-5
At the well: John 4:6-26
On the street: John 1:43
Also, listen to what he said:
“…Every man therefore that hath heard, and hath learned of the Father, cometh unto me.” John 6:45
This means he believed anybody who met him was sent from God to him for a purpose- and because he knew why God sent him (Luke 19:10) their salvation was utmost in his mind.
If they met you in the elevator, bus, at work, on your street; God sent them for a purpose:
“…I have set thee to be a light of the Gentiles, that thou shouldest be for salvation unto the ends of the earth.”
