“For so hath the Lord commanded us, saying, I have set thee to be a light of the Gentiles, that thou shouldest be for salvation unto the ends of the earth.”
Acts 13:47

Every sinner is in darkness, and they are themselves darkness, the Bible tells us:
“Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what… communion hath light with darkness?” 2 Corinthians 6:14
He calls you light and the unbeliever darkness and he expects that you are not unequally yoked with them! Your personal association with any sinner should be focused on calling them out of darkness into God’s marvelous light and when you do, by the power of God’s Spirit they themselves become light!
“For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness…” 2 Corinthians 4:6
This is the fate of everyone in the darkness of the world:
“…the whole world lieth in wickedness.” 1 John 5:19
They are victims and/ or perpetrators of wickedness, having the fierce displeasure and anger of God domiciled on their heads:
“…he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him.” John 3:36
But all of that changes when they believe the gospel- how simple yet powerful and what an honor that God chose you to be his emissary.
