“◄Imitate/Behave like► God, because he loves you who are his children.”
Ephesians 5:1, T4T

He begins by emphasizing the fact that God is love and tells us to walk accordingly in the succeeding verse. He continues:
“But fornication, and all uncleanness, or covetousness, let it not be once named among you, as becometh saints;” Ephesians 5:3
He didn’t say don’t fornicate, he sets the standard higher- he said fornication should not be ONCE named near you, this is the standard for the child of God.
There could be channels all around you where fornication is made common, God expects you to flee those channels walk in holiness, just as he is holy:
“Flee fornication…” 1 Corinthians 6:18
“For they verily for a few days chastened us after their own pleasure; but he for our profit, that we might be partakers of his holiness.” Hebrews 12:10
You have been sanctified, live accordingly. Let the words you choose to hear and the things you choose to see measure up to the standard of God’s word. Remember he says:
“Let no man deceive you with vain words: for because of these things cometh the wrath of God upon the children of disobedience.” Ephesians 5:6
There could be those who try to explain away their friendship with the world and its expressions, but the word already warned prior- do not be deceived. God’s righteousness hasn’t upgraded with technology, it is ever sure, consistent and true, and with it we discern where we should be found and what should not be ONCE named among us.
