“And of his fulness have all we received, and grace for grace.”
John 1:16
See how he describes Jesus:
“But after that the kindness and love of God our Saviour toward man appeared,” Titus 3:4
The embodiment of God’s kindness and love towards man irrespective of what they had done: verse 5.
And how he showed this when he walked on the earth, even when compelled to be vengeful, he chose not to:
“And when his disciples James and John saw this, they said, Lord, wilt thou that we command fire to come down from heaven, and consume them, even as Elias did? But he turned, and rebuked them, and said, Ye know not what manner of spirit ye are of. For the Son of man is not come to destroy men’s lives, but to save them…” Luke 9:54-56
Notice, he didn’t say they couldn’t call down fire, they probably could have, instead he made clear that’s not the Spirit’s way— the way of God’s Spirit is salvation not destruction; forgiveness not annihilation, and the Bible tells us:
“If we say we live in God, we must live the way Jesus lived.” 1 John 2:6, ERV
Nobody has to suffer because you were treated poorly, and no one deserves hell because they don’t agree with you- always and only seek the salvation of others even your detractors. Guess what? Eventually Samaria did receive the gospel- see Acts 8:5-8.
