“And of his fulness have all we received, and grace for grace.”
John 1:16

Be ever inspired by Jesus, see what happened here:
“And one of them smote the servant of the high priest, and cut off his right ear. And Jesus answered and said, Suffer ye thus far. And he touched his ear, and healed him.” Luke 22:50-51
How do you heal someone who just tried to arrest you and rightfully deserved the pushback?
“But after that the kindness and love of God our Saviour toward man appeared, Not by works of righteousness which we have done…” Titus 3:4-5
When he appeared to men, he showed his love and kindness irrespective of what they had done!
This is the higher life he has called us to live, where we use whatever ability he has bestowed on us for the good of others and not for evil:
“The highway of the upright is to depart from evil: he that keepeth his way preserveth his soul.” Proverbs 16:17
Just like Paul said:
“…our authority, which the Lord hath given us for edification, and not for your destruction…” 2 Corinthians 10:8
Even when we have all of the reasons to be vengeful, remember Jesus and live your life like him.
