“For if these things be in you, and abound, they make you that ye shall neither be barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.”
2 Peter 1:8
He wants faith, virtue, knowledge, temperance, patience, godliness, brotherly kindness and love to be in you and abound! This means you should always be looking forward to better ways to improve your expressions of these virtues the best way possible; he’s called us to a life of ever increasing glory!
Grow your faith, strive to be even more excellent, keep on studying; be a better student, use that knowledge to control your thoughts, words and actions and before you know it, the word of God becomes your guide unconsciously. Master time, and learn not to fret, it’s not everything that is happening that you can see, you physically cannot even see what’s at your back in any physical location because you only have two eyes facing forward, and so because you’re using your faith and you seemingly can’t see anything happening, doesn’t mean something isn’t happening.
God expects you to be more pious, more conscious of spiritual matters, more devoted to his kingdom and with that seek to be more loving because you can; you can come to a place when you love others like God loves them because when you got born again, the quality of love you received is exactly the same as God;
“…the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts…” Romans 5:5
“And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fulness of God.” Ephesians 3:19
That’s why he said, when you let all your love potential manifest, you’d be filled with all the fullness of God; you come to a place where you are always productive and never failing! (Love never fails)
