“All the days of the afflicted are evil: But he that is of a merry heart hath a continual feast.”
Proverbs 15:15 KJV
He tells of two kinds of people- the afflicted and the merry, and it is interesting to note that he didn’t say for the afflicted, some days are evil, he says ALL the days of the afflicted are evil- he only sees evil, he only sees the heat, the news that come to him from afar is evil and treachery continuously but for the man who is of a merry heart, his case is different- he has a continual feast; this means there is no lack, there is no want, he only sees good and he abounds.
Interestingly, God made the decision for you on what kind of person he expects you to be and the experiences he expects you to have, this is why he put joy in your spirit- so you would have a continual feast!
“But the fruit of the Spirit is.. joy…” Galatians 5:22
