“For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed.”
Romans 10:11

Jesus told a man one day:
“Then Jesus beholding him loved him, and said unto him, One thing thou lackest: go thy way, sell whatsoever thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come, take up the cross, and follow me.”  Mark 10:21
The man went back sad because it seemed a big deal to him- losing his status in society like that, he assumed because Jesus said he should sell and give away all he had, it automatically meant, he would end up with nothing! What an assumption!! Jesus didn’t mean that then and he doesn’t mean that today. He told the man that giving away all he had meant he would HAVE treasure in heaven- he didn’t tell him, give away everything, have nothing then follow me. Remember whatever exists physically has a spiritual/heavenly source, if he would have something in heaven- for sure, he’d have something physically. He eventually further clarified:
“There is no man that hath left house, or brethren, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or lands, for my sake, and the gospel’s, But he shall receive an hundredfold now in this time, houses, and brethren, and sisters, and mothers, and children, and lands, with persecutions; and in the world to come eternal life.” Mark 10:29-30
While it is a nice sentiment that when you lose all for Jesus, even if you end up with nothing, having Jesus is more than enough and you’d rather have Jesus than the world, there is no place Jesus suggested that the reality had to be following Jesus meant you have nothing and he definitely wants you to have the world- you are Abraham’s seed and he gave you all authority, he expects you reign as a king on the earth! The word of God says;
“…Christ in you, the hope of glory:”  Colossians 1:27
It’s too late to live in shame, the hope of glory is already inside of you and nothing can take it out!
