“For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed.”  
Romans 10:11

What assurance and confidence the word of God gives to us, he says the one who believes can take his belief to the bank; he shall not be ashamed!
“Wherefore also it is contained in the scripture, Behold, I lay in Sion a chief corner stone, elect, precious: and he that believeth on him shall not be confounded.”  1 Peter 2:6
The word of God is that corner stone, he is God’s choice and precious and he says the one who believes in the word shall not be confounded; will not be left wondering ‘what happened?’ or thinking he or she made a mistake and should never have believed the word- nobody who believed the word would ever regret it!
He tells us God chose you to believe the word of God because just as the word of God is a living stone, you were born a lively stone in Christ Jesus:
“To whom coming, as unto a living stone, disallowed indeed of men, but chosen of God, and precious, Ye also, as lively stones, are built up a spiritual house” 1 Peter 2:4-5
It is fully aligned with you to follow the word completely! The word of God is filled with such examples to inspire and encourage us:
“For whatsoever things were written aforetime were written for our learning, that we through patience and comfort of the scriptures might have hope.”  Romans 15:4
God has said:
“…I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.”  Hebrews 13:5
No situation would get so bad and messed up that God would leave you in disappointment or despair, he said he would never forsake you, he is confident in his ability to ensure you’re soaring in life, you also, be confident in the ability of the word of God and you would never be ashamed.
