“Now is my soul troubled; and what shall I say? Father, save me from this hour: but for this cause came I unto this hour.”
John‬ ‭12‬:‭27‬

“But for this cause came I unto this hour” what a marvel! This is Jesus and we ought to walk as he walked: 1 John 2:6, Ephesians 5:1
Despite his internal trouble, and the grand lofty opportunity he had to escape his arrest:
“As soon then as he had said unto them, I am he, they went backward, and fell to the ground.” ‭‭John‬ ‭18‬:‭6‬
He didn’t run, he remained standing, just like we have been admonished to:
“…and having done all, to stand. Stand therefore…” Ephesians‬ ‭6‬:‭13‬-‭14‬ ‭
He knew his purpose and he understood the timing and even though in previous occasions he had escaped the killing stones of the Jews, this time- he did not escape, even though he was giving options as seen in John 18:6 above and John 6:15.
Win the fight of faith, remain in God’s word- maybe the easier option might be doing or saying something else concerning the challenge- health, finances etc; don’t choose the easier or harder option. Choose God’s option- do the word.
