“Now is my soul troubled; and what shall I say? Father, save me from this hour: but for this cause came I unto this hour.”
John‬ ‭12‬:‭27‬

Jesus was very aware about what God sent him to do: John 3:16, John 10:10
He knew in fulfilling his purpose on the earth he had to die for the sins of the world:
“even as the Son of man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give his life a ransom for many.” Matthew‬ ‭20‬:‭28‬
And he was very fixated about doing God’s will and not his:
“For I came down from heaven, not to do mine own will, but the will of him that sent me.” John‬ ‭6‬:‭38‬, John 9:4
In the main verse, when the time grew near when he would become sin, separated from the father and be put to death, his soul was troubled but instead of asking for a way out- he remained unmoved, knowing the challenge and trouble was necessary and he had to win- he won!
