“For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.” Romans 8:6
Knowing that being carnally minded would be unprofitable and even hurtful to you, then you ought to guard what gets into your mind and what inspires your contemplations.
Stay away from sources that tend to bring carnal information and solutions to you, because even when you don’t agree with those solutions, words are seeds and that solution might just come to your mind in some situation and might seem compelling enough for you to act on.
Instead, incline your ears to the word of God as he says:
“My son, attend to my words; incline thine ear unto my sayings.” Proverbs 4:20
So when it matters, and for all time, your response would always be the word of God and you can rest, assured that only life and peace would be the end of that situation!
