“So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God.” Romans 8:8
Those who dwell and are consumed by their five senses cannot please God, every idea they espouse is most displeasing to God, but that’s not you:
“But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit…” Romans 8:9
Because you are not in the flesh but in the spirit, walk accordingly:
“If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.” Galatians 5:25
And he goes on to tell that those who walk in the spirit will not fulfill the lusts of the flesh: Galatians 5:16.
This means there’s no merging of the two, if you walk in the Spirit and walk by faith, you would not walk according to your senses and vice versa. Romans 8:5
A man given to the word of God with his heart set on the word would not be given to his five senses because God’s testimony concerning any situation is always greater than that of man:
“If we receive the witness of men, the witness of God is greater…” 1 John 5:9
