“Therefore, brethren, we are debtors, not to the flesh, to live after the flesh.”
Romans 8:12
You would notice, more often than not, God gives instructions that are antithetical to human expectations and those instructions, albeit very simple, produce results. Jesus told a man who had been sick for thirty eight years:
“…Rise, take up thy bed, and walk.” James 5:8
If he could rise all along, he wouldn’t be on the bed, he told him to do the very thing he had not been able to do, when the man did God’s word against following his flesh; his sensory perceptions, he got his miracle.
Now, Jesus, through his word tells you to:
“Never worry about anything…” Philippians 4:6, ISV
He also tells you:
“Consider it pure joy, my brothers, when you are involved in various trials” James 1:2, ISV
When you do God’s word against following your flesh; your sensory perceptions, you would be filled with satisfaction.
“And Jesus said unto them, I am the bread of life: he that cometh to me shall never hunger; and he that believeth on me shall never thirst.” John 6:35
