“And deliver them who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage.”  
Hebrews 2:15

The fear of death provokes the most remarkable responses from people; “nobody wants to die”. It is the thought of death that enables the spirit of fear.
A man would rarely be bothered if he was told eating that meal or going outside might make him feel uncomfortable or ill but won’t kill him, but if he was assured that he could die, then he becomes very cautious because he fears death.
One of the most beautiful truth in the word of God is that Jesus came to ensure nobody fears death anymore. While he was on the earth, he delivered people from pending death and himself and his disciples from sudden death(Mark 4:39), but he eventually died, to ensure forever that nobody had to fear death anymore:

“Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also himself likewise took part of the same; that THROUGH DEATH HE MIGHT DESTROY (paralyze) him that had the power of death, that is, the devil;”  Hebrews 2:14

Anyone who believes in him, has no reason to fear death anymore, in fact we have a mandate to subdue death and it’s effects anytime it shows up- for the child of God, there is nothing to fear!

“For if by one man’s offence death reigned by one; much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ.)”  Romans 5:17
