“And when they had this done, they inclosed a great multitude of fishes: and their net brake.”
Luke 5:6
The word of God would not only meet your expectations; he’d exceed it- this has always been God’s promise. He meets your needs:
“But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.” Philippians 4:19
He meets your wants:
“The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want.” Psalms 23:1
He exceeds your imaginations:
“Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us,” Ephesians 3:20
It matters what you think about God and his ability towards you. He gives his word to renew your way of thinking concerning him, because he almost cannot help you beyond your thoughts.
In the main verse, by doing the word, Peter got an astounding miracle, he caught such a great multitude(innumerable) of fishes that his net brake, not just that:
“And they beckoned unto their partners, which were in the other ship, that they should come and help them. And they came, and filled both the ships, so that they began to sink.” Luke 5:7
What doing the word of God can cause in your life: an overflow!
